Overview

This program consists of a pathway program offered by StudyGroup at the International Study Centre at the University of Sussex followed by entry into a university program offered at the University of Sussex.

This Pre-Masters programme is a preparational course for international students who wish to study one of a range of Masters degrees at the University of Sussex.

The Pre-Masters Programme in Science and Engineering is the route to a variety of postgraduate degrees at the University of Sussex. Students will study a combination of general and academic modules to provide them with the knowledge and skills they need for postgraduate study. All of the programmes include an integrated career skills module, Skills for Success, to help students develop career skills needed for the world of work.

Advanced Mechanical Engineering MSc

Mechanical engineering plays an essential role at every level in society.

This course is for students if they are newly qualified or practising engineer looking to improve their expertise in specialist areas. The MSc will enhance both their theoretical knowledge and practical skills in areas such as:

• computational fluid dynamics • advanced thermofluids • advanced manufacturing techniques • dynamics of solids • heat transfer.

The University of Sussex offers well-equipped research and teaching laboratories where students will develop their academic and professional excellence. The options cover a range of application areas – students will be able to specialise in their area of interest.

Students will be supervised by research-active faculty and become part of a vibrant international community. A combination of taught modules and project work provides an excellent platform to further their career in mechanical engineering.
