Overview
The LLM Legal Practice (SQE) at the University of West London is designed to equip students with the skills needed to build a career as a solicitor while studying for a Masters degree.
The course focuses on developing the knowledge required to undertake the Solicitors Qualifying Examinations (SQE1 and SQE2), which are mandatory for qualification as a solicitor in England and Wales.
Through a tailored combination of academic and vocational modules, students will develop the core legal skills needed to prepare for and succeed in the SQE exams.
Students will be taught by subject specialists with extensive legal practice experience and will benefit from guest lectures and seminars delivered by industry experts. Additional opportunities include specialist careers fairs, access to legal work experience, participation in the Law School’s free legal advice clinic run with Ealing Equality Council, and engagement with a network of local solicitors and graduates now working in practice.
