What you will study
The Global Sports Journalism degree gives students a comprehensive understanding of the world of multi-media sports journalism. Students will gain industry-standard, career-focused practical skills and expertise and good knowledge of employment opportunities.
Students will: • Work with other students and colleagues and demonstrate innovative and self-resourcefulness • Create original multi-media sports content across a range of platforms and formats, using contemporary technologies • Research and reflect on the increasing diversity of the sports landscape both in the UK and abroad. • Research and interpret the diverse sociological, cultural, economic, and political contexts of sports in the UK and internationally • Identify and understand the nature, implementation and benefits of diversity across the sports media landscape • Reflect critically on sports research and academic enquiry • Seek and use placements and work experience across a diverse range of industry settings
The MA Global Sports Journalism will prepare students for a wide range of roles in today's dynamic digital media environment.
