Overview
Applicants join a tight-knit community of researchers as students for MA by Research programmes. The programme produces innovative theoretical and empirical research, developing cutting-edge insights into global political challenges and their solutions. Applicants whose projects require consumables must apply under a funded project or have sufficient funds in place to cover these costs. Proposals for research degrees are welcomed from across the breadth of International Relations and Politics. Particular research strengths include climate change geopolitics, gender equality, secularism and religion, de-centralising the Western lens, global austerity, global health, labour exploitation and labour rights, low-wage labour migration and family migration dynamics, Middle East politics, post-conflict recovery in sub-Saharan Africa, and security and identity in digital spaces.
