The professional practice of environmental conservation has experienced rapid transformation over the past two decades. Ongoing environmental and climate change, coupled with evolving approaches to conservation governance, have made the preservation of biodiversity more complex—and more urgent—than ever before.
The Master of Conservation Leadership (MCL) program is designed to strengthen and expand professionals’ capacity for leadership in the conservation sector. Through a multidisciplinary curriculum, the program fosters expertise in strategic planning, conflict resolution, team building, Indigenous engagement, evidence-based decision-making, partnership development, and effective communication.
Graduates of the MCL program are prepared to take on senior leadership roles in organizations committed to advancing environmental conservation, policy, and sustainable resource management.
