The Bachelor of Data Analytics (BDA) degree is a three-year program, including one paid co-op work term, which will prepare you for a fulfilling career in the field of data analytics to meet the increasing demand for data analysis expertise in the digital world. Building upon the recognized foundations of data analytics, you will obtain the skills and knowledge to identify and interpret data using algorithms, extract meaningful information and communicate conclusions to help governments and businesses make better decisions driven by data.
This degree program is designed to equip you with a strong skill set of data analytics-based tools, statistical methods, and data visualization techniques. You will also learn all elements of the data analysis life cycle including problem definition, data retrieval, preparation, validation, and transformation. In addition to technical data expertise, you will also learn key business strategies, professional communications, and an understanding of data ethics and privacy. Upon graduation, you will have a range of career options to work as a data analyst in a diverse range of industries, including but not limited to finance, marketing, healthcare, entertainment, and public service.
