Program Description HIC offers University Foundation Studies for candidates who do not meet the direct entry criteria or hold high school qualifications that are not recognised. Upon successful completion of the pathway programme students will progress onto the University of Hertfordshire. This course is for students fascinated by education and its potential to improve lives. They may be undecided about becoming a teacher, but they know they want that door left open. If, when students graduate, they decide teaching is for them, they can study a 1-year Post Graduate Certificate in Education (PGCE). In fact, this degree is a springboard to so many different careers. Education is all around us. Students join the team at Hertfordshire as they study the impact of education in a wide range of settings, including schools, community projects, workplaces, museums, and prisons. Take part in a unique opportunity to enrich a community of their choice. The Capstone Project is an exciting initiative, new for 2020, where students will receive £250 to invest in their own education project. Students will become an effective communicators. They’ll inspire others.
