What you will study

Program Description

The MSc Occupational Psychology is targeted at high caliber graduates of psychology who are intending to pursue a career in occupational psychology in its various guises and other associated careers.

Nottingham Trent University's aim is to support each student (under appropriate supervision) to be well-prepared to become a practitioner-in-training, prepared to manage the unique challenges and opportunities presented by applying the principles and practice of occupational psychology in work-place settings. Students will develop their knowledge of Occupational Psychology theory and practice, and explore ethical, cultural and practical issues associated with psychology in the workplace. As part of the course, students will complete (under supervision) an independent work-related research project.

Occupational Psychology is broader in scope and less formalized than many areas of psychology and touches of diverse fields including ergonomics, HR management and consultancy.
