Program Description Western Sociology has a historic strength and commitment to research excellence in the field of Population Dynamics and Social Inequality. Our productive and internationally recognized faculty publish in the discipline's most prestigious journals. Western Sociology is home to award-winning teachers and offers undergraduate programs in both Sociology and Criminology. Students who study sociology, gain a deeper understanding of the social world around them. Areas of specialty include Health and Aging, Population Studies, Migration, and Social Inequality. NOTE: Please note the English scores listed are minimum requirements. Meeting the minimums does not guarantee admission. Students with low English scores may be admitted to the English BOOST Program, a 9 week training program for conditional admission to their chosen program.
