What you will study
Study in one of Australia’s fastest growing industries and begin to explore some of the big issues in IT, including hacking, privacy and security. The Diploma of Information Technology provides a broad introduction to computing, after which students will progress to a more specialised area during this degree.
Students will develop important study skills as well as an understanding of this rapidly developing industry. Specialist areas include infrastructure technology, planning and management of technology lifecycles, development of applications, systems, web multimedia resources, installation and administration of networks and information security. This Diploma is designed as a pathway into a bachelor course at La Trobe University. After the successful completion of the Diploma students may enter the second year of the: • Bachelor of Information Technology at the Sydney Campus.
