Foundation Program (091322F) + Diploma of Information Technology (026675J)

Program Description The Foundation Program is designed for students that haven’t yet completed their high school education to Australian Year 12 standard, or equivalent. With small class sizes, teachers are able to provide a high level of personal attention, helping students develop the confidence and study structure for academic success.

The Foundation Program has been designed to prepare students for a diploma or degree in Arts, Education, Business, Commerce, Design, Engineering, Health, Hotel Management, Information Technology and Science. It’s structured to be completed over two trimesters (8 months), with English language, academic communication skills a central focus, along with computer skills and intercultural studies.

Once students complete course requirements for the Foundation Program, students can continue on into their diploma of choice.

The Diploma of Information Technology is structured to provide a broad understanding of all aspects of IT in preparation for further studies in computer programming, database administration, information systems, interactive web development, software development and systems design.

Students will gain the fundamental skills and knowledge needed to progress to a degree, including creditable industry placements and the opportunity to join the App Factory – an IT development platform for start-ups.
