Northwestern Polytechnic - Grande Prairie
The University Arts Diploma lets students build a foundation for transferring to the third-year of a Bachelor of Arts degree at a university or earn a stand-alone credential that equips them to enter the workforce. Students will take courses in a variety of subjects to strengthen interdisciplinary perspectives, develop communication and critical thinking skills, and improve and identify potential areas for further study. Acceptance into any University program, once students have completed their studies at NWP, is normally based on their course selection and their academic standing. Courses vary from institution to institution and are often evaluated on a case-by-case basis. Early contact with the school to which students intend to apply is encouraged and close consultation with a NWP Advisor is strongly recommended. All post-secondary humanities and social sciences programs are slightly different. Therefore, students may be required to take additional courses, depending on where they apply.
