What you will study
The global sport industry is an important, growing and diverse area of employment, particularly in relation to management, development, politics, policy, business and governance. This programme covers these areas to prepare students for a career in sport and sport-related fields.
The Master of Science in Sport Management, Politics and International Development will provide students with a strong critical understanding of sport management, sport politics and policy, and sport development in an international context. The programme is taught by the diverse team of staff who are recognised globally for their research and teaching in these areas.
The academic staff are committed to equipping students with the knowledge and skills to work in global sport industries and wider sport-related fields of employment. They will benefit from their experience in undertaking projects with many leading organisations including: the Commonwealth Secretariat, European Commission, International Olympic Committee, International Paralympic Committee, United Kingdom Sport, UNESCO, UNICEF, and other United Nations agencies.
