Overview
As a journalism major, students will master the art of reporting and writing as well as learn legal issues that affect the media. Through this program of study they will be able to demonstrate an applicable knowledge of the principles of ethical and socially responsible journalism. Students will gain a working knowledge of the equipment and software used by news media and be able to demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively in news media and other related occupations.
