University Pathways Fast Track at RMIT UP is an accelerated pathway designed for high-achieving international students, preparing them for university in half the time of a Foundation Studies course. Delivered over one semester by RMIT UP (CRICOS provider number: 01912G), a fully owned entity of RMIT University, the program equips students with the knowledge, skills and confidence needed for future academic success.

Located in the heart of Melbourne, RMIT UP’s specialist staff support students throughout their journey, while providing opportunities to build global and social networks that contribute to success at RMIT and beyond.

To ensure students get the best start to their studies, RMIT offers careers counselling, as well as academic and welfare support services that can be accessed flexibly.

University Pathways Fast Track features focused, discipline-based streams, allowing students to align their studies with their interests and goals. Available streams include STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics), Art, Design and Architecture, Business, and Communication and Social Context.

Associate Degree - Fashion (AD030) (116398J) RMIT’s Associate Degree in Fashion prepares students to enter the fashion industry by combining technical design skills with essential business knowledge.

The program develops capabilities in areas such as patternmaking, fashion design, garment construction and fitting, alongside business-focused skills including marketing communication strategies, trend forecasting, buying practices and supply chain management.

Students begin with a common first semester, allowing them to explore different areas before choosing a pathway in either Design and Technology or Business and Retail, depending on their interests and career goals.

The degree also emphasises sustainability and the circular economy, encouraging students to consider the environmental and social impacts of the fashion industry while exploring innovative, responsible approaches to design and production.

Graduates are equipped with a well-rounded skill set that prepares them to contribute effectively to the evolving and global fashion industry.
