This course is ideal for those who aspire to a career in financial accounting, finance and investment. Students will link these topics to issues of management and corporate strategy, studying real-life examples and case studies.
This Finance MSc will give students well-integrated knowledge of management accounting and financial accounting, finance and investment; whilst developing their ability to relate these areas to the wider issues of management and corporate strategy. It produces graduates who are prepared for high-level jobs in the financial industries.
This course is equally suitable both for students who have studied economics, finance or accountancy before, as well as those who seek a career change.
This course has been developed in consultation with professionals at RBS Capital Markets, Commerzbank AG, Standard Chartered Bank and NatWest Bank. As part of this course students may apply for Bloomberg certification, often a huge advantage in the job market. The professional placement year takes place after the full-time year. It allows students to do a 12-month work placement as part of their course. The work placement is an assessed part of the course and is therefore covered by a Student Route visa.
