What you will study
Program Description Le DEC Techniques d'éducation à l'enfance est destiné à former des éducateurs et des éducatrices pouvant intervenir auprès d'enfants de 0 à 12 ans en service de garde. Cette formation permet de faire partie du personnel de garde qualifié selon la réglementation en vigueur.
Au cours de sa formation en éducation à l'enfance, l'étudiant apprendra à satisfaire les besoins de base de l'enfant ((hygiène, confort, sommeil, alimentation), ses besoins psychologiques ainsi que ses besoins d'éducation. Il apprendra à établir un rôle de partenariat auprès des parents et du milieu afin de comprendre l'importance d'une concertation sur les interventions à effectuer auprès de l'enfant. Il devra évaluer la pertinence de celles-ci.
La polyvalence de l’éducateur est un élément important, car il doit pouvoir exercer sa profession dans les différents types de service de garde.
