The food technology and nutrition program is about the science of manufacturing food and making it safe and nutritious.
In this program, students learn to turn raw materials such as milk and cereal grains into food products such as ice-cream and breakfast cereals. They also learn to improve the quality of the manufactured food supply, creating safe and nutritious foods that taste good and have a long shelf life.
This program prepares students for work in the food industry. They are trained in the full range of theoretical and practical aspects of food technology and nutrition science. Students will be able to develop novel, healthy and functional food products that meet the consumer demands as well as industry’s strict safety and health guidelines.
