What you will study
The BSc (Hons) in Performance Analysis and Coaching at the University of Derby is designed to equip students with the specialist skills needed to train elite athletes and optimize team performance. Students will gain Hudl Academy qualifications and become certified Sportscode users, with access to the Hudl Analysis package. The course offers state-of-the-art facilities, including a new performance analysis suite in the sports centre, enabling students to gain hands-on experience with the latest tools used in elite sport.

This course leverages cutting-edge technologies, such as Hudl Sportscode, WyScout, iCoda, Hudl Replay, VICON 3D, and Quintic, to help students develop specialized skills in performance analysis and coaching, with the ultimate aim of guiding athletes towards success.
The curriculum features a combination of theory and practical application, focusing on the science behind performance analysis and coaching. Students will explore a variety of exciting modules that prepare them for the demands of the industry, while also being introduced to key areas of sport sciences like biomechanics, psychology, and physical performance, all of which are essential for a well-rounded career in performance sport.
