Program Description Students will engage in workshops and classes that will challenge them to become both a consumer and critic of culture, gaining an understanding of how culture is formed and the impact it has on people’s lives.

The courses in this specialization draw on everything from Marxism to psychoanalysis to literary theory in order to help students think systematically about the complicated relationship between culture and the different parts of the lives – politics, psychology, art, the media, gender and sexuality, the body, globalization, technology, ethics, and more.
