Grade 10 - Sport Academy Program - Golf

The goal of the Golf Academy program is to provide each student-athlete an opportunity to pursue excellence, and to improve and develop the physical, mental and tactical demands of the game of golf. Throughout the training, students will improve their time management, independence, and organizational skills. Students will participate in a variety training exercises including:

• Player development • Swing and stance analysis • Shot variety and course management • Rules and etiquette • Goal setting and mental imagery • Green readings and contours • Golf fitness • Golf Nutrition • Golf strength training • Golf stretching • Facility management and development • Course management and facilities (become a superintendent) • Courses on management golf architecture • Breaking bad habits • Golf Academy Trips • Students will have access to superior athletic instruction and a wide-range of cross-training and fitness opportunities.
