What you will study

Program Description Study Media and Communication with Swansea and students will learn practical skills to equip them for an exciting career in the media, marketing or related fields, as well as transferable skills which are valued by employers and open up a range of wider career opportunities. Students will have the chance to explore radio and video production, digital and social media, journalism, public relations, branding, marketing and more, learning from experienced industry professionals and leading academics. A work placement will give them first-hand experience of media and communication, and they will have the option of studying a semester abroad in Hong Kong, Singapore or the USA.

Swansea offers a varied and flexible degree, so students can shape their course to match their career goals as well as developing their own interests. Students can choose topics including creative media practice, radio and video production, digital and social media, journalism, public relations including strategy, branding and marketing, media theory, media law and film.
