Why study this programme?
• BSc (Hons) Nursing - Adult has been accredited by the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC), and studnets will be able to apply for Registered Nurse Status on completion. • Birmingham City University is the largest trainer of undergraduate nurses in the UK* and has the UK’s only contract to train and educate the Armed Forces’ nurses, radiographers and operating department practitioners. • The Faculty of Health, Education and Life Sciences (HELS) has been awarded the Skills for Health Quality Mark, in recognition of the high standard of learning and training delivered to the health sector (2019-21). • Four members of HELS staff have attained the title of 'Queen's Nurse', recognising a high level of commitment to patient care and community nursing practice. • The University was named Nursing Associate Training Programme Provider of the Year (pre-registration) in 2021.
Placements will be available across University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust. UHB is one of the largest teaching hospital trusts in England, treating more than 2.2 million people every year. The Trust is also a regional centre for cancer, trauma, renal dialysis, burns and plastics, HIV and AIDS, as well as respiratory conditions, and it is the largest solid organ transplantation programme in Europe.
