Master of Science - Neuroscience and Mental Health

University of Roehampton

What you will study

The programme is delivered through a combination of taught lectures, methods workshops, seminars, discussion forums, and online lectures, offering students maximum flexibility to balance their studies with other commitments. Participants also engage extensively with advanced research facilities, which include four dedicated Electroencephalogram (EEG) suites, access to 3 Tesla Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) scanners, Repetitive Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (rTMS) equipment, both static and head-mounted gaze-tracking devices, as well as advanced computer software. A solid grounding in applied cognitive neuroscience principles and techniques, combined with hands-on research experience, equips graduates with the essential skills and knowledge for a career in cognitive neuroscience research, both in academic and industry settings. The programme also prepares students for success across a broad range of graduate careers, particularly in fields that value data analysis, strong communication (both scientific and non-scientific), and writing or publication skills. These fields include finance, business, medicine, marketing, and more.
