Program Description Politics is everywhere – in boardrooms, school yards, community halls, neighbourhoods, and in settlements all around the world.

At the heart of the Politics program at UNB’s Saint John campus is the discussion of political power, institutions, and practice. Students will be examining how and why the government makes its decisions and how those decisions affect social, cultural, legal, and economic landscape.

Four major fields of study include Canadian Politics, Comparative Politics, International Relations, and Political Theory.

The Politics faculty at UNB’s Saint John campus includes experts on everything from violence in Mexico to sex work in Canada to the dynamics of cabinet decision-making. Students will work closely with professors and develop critical thinking and communications skills while learning about the political world around them.
