Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology (RMIT) - Melbourne

What you will study

The four-year Bachelor of Cyber Security (Professional) develops and refines students’ skills to implement cyber security solutions and processes that protect organisations and individuals from cyber crime. With an embedded cyber security major and industry-aligned content, graduates are prepared to pursue careers as IT or ICT practitioners, with the potential to progress into leadership roles.

Throughout the degree, students explore topics including computer crime and cyber security; ethical theories and principles within a professional IT context; the social implications of computing in a digital world; the impact of social media and networking; and professional communication, among others.

In addition to technical expertise, students build strong capabilities in problem solving and decision-making, critical analysis, ethical conduct, teamwork, and professional communication. Graduates emerge as work-ready, culturally and socially aware, globally competent, and innovative lifelong learners.

The Bachelor of Cyber Security (Professional) includes a supervised internship in the final year, enabling students to apply their knowledge in practical settings, expand their experience, and begin building their professional networks.
