Bachelor of Science (Honours) - Applied Sport and Exercise (Top-up)

Program Description This Teesside University top-up degree programme develops students' research and laboratory skills alongside their abilities in critical thinking, problem-solving and reflective practice to enhance their employment potential. Students develop a multidisciplinary approach to measuring and analyzing activities from sport and exercise. Developing practical data collection techniques from the fields of physiology, psychology and biomechanics, students evaluate the techniques.

Students gain a comprehensive understanding of the theory and practice of applied sport psychology. As well as improving their knowledge and skills, students develop insight and an understanding of the role of the sport psychologist in elite and recreational sport, including both performance enhancement and holistic sport psychology. Students explore key issues around providing sport psychology support to individuals and teams.
