What you will study

Artificial intelligence (AI) is the construction of artificial systems that have intelligent behavior. There are two main motivations for research. One is to understand natural intelligence through the use of computer models. The other provides techniques and technology for building systems capable of intelligent decisions and actions. Thus, Artificial intelligence is both a science and an engineering discipline. Applications of Artificial intelligence range from 'smart' controllers for household devices to computers with the ability to converse in English, play games, conduct intelligent web searches or act as the brain of a robot.

The University of Edinburgh offer a wide range of Artificial intelligence courses delivered by leaders in their field. Students will have the flexibility to focus on the areas of artificial intelligence that interest they most.
