Bachelor of Science (Honours) - Architectural Design Technology with Foundation Year (K130)

The BSc (Hons) Architectural Design Technology with Foundation Year at the University of West London is designed for students interested in a career in architectural technology and design and will develop the key expertise required to advise planners, property developers and constructors on their building projects.

This undergraduate course focuses on practical, in-demand skills so that students can ensure that buildings function as they are intended to. Students will develop the valuable ability to plan and design buildings that suit the needs of a client, the surrounding community and, importantly, the environment.

On this course, students will examine important topical issues within architectural technology and design, including environmental concerns and the technologies that are being used to address them.

Through visits to materials manufacturers and construction sites, as well as opportunities to work on team projects, students will learn how to apply their technical knowledge to real-world design problems.

This course is fully accredited by the Chartered Institute of Architectural Technologists (CIAT).

The BSc (Hons) Architectural Design Technology with Foundation Year at the University of West London includes a foundation year. The foundation year course is designed to equip students with the skills and knowledge needed to continue onto the Honours degree. Students will study a range of subjects that will underpin their future study and also gain valuable experience of university life, with full access to campus facilities.

Successful completion of the year allows students to progress straight onto Level 4 of the course.
