The criminology undergraduate degree will give students the opportunity to examine the many factors involved in criminal behaviour, and how society responds through the criminal justice system. Students will study the most important theories of crime and deviance and their relevance to contemporary criminal justice policy, research, and practice. Alongside this, they will gain an in-depth knowledge of the structures of the criminal justice system, covering the courts, prison, the probation service, and the police. Throughout the studies, students will develop excellent research and analytical skills and learn to present their ideas effectively both verbally and in writing.
