Canadore College - College Drive
Graduates of any Bachelor of Education or Bachelor of Arts program can complete this hands-on, intensive program in one year. Students can expand their knowledge and skill set working in real-world settings. A 175-hour field placement gives students a practical application for their training with the possibility of securing permanent employment.
Students will learn: • Child development • Infant, toddler, and school-aged curricula • Language, literacy, and speech disorders • Health, safety and nutrition • Children's math and science • Special education • Introduction to psychology and sociology
Future Careers: • Childcare centres or home day care • Full-day kindergarten programs • Educational settings as educational assistants • Resource and learning access programs • Specialty early learning schools
The program is recognized by the College of Early Childhood Educators. Graduates may apply to become Registered Childhood Educators.
