What you will study

University Pathways Fast Track at RMIT UP is an accelerated pathway designed for high-achieving international students, preparing them for university in half the time of a Foundation Studies course. Delivered over one semester by RMIT UP (CRICOS provider number: 01912G), a fully owned entity of RMIT University, the program equips students with the knowledge, skills and confidence needed for future academic success.

University Pathways Fast Track features focused, discipline-based streams, allowing students to align their studies with their interests and goals. Available streams include STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics), Art, Design and Architecture, Business, and Communication and Social Context.

Certificate IV - Accounting and Bookkeeping (C4435) (109949H) RMIT’s Certificate IV in Accounting and Bookkeeping provides a versatile qualification that prepares students to become job-ready for roles in bookkeeping, while also offering a pathway to further study in accounting and a range of corporate finance careers.

Delivered in Melbourne, the program equips students with the skills to work effectively in the accounting and bookkeeping industry. Students learn to establish, operate and maintain computerised accounting systems for small businesses, record day-to-day financial transactions and produce reports to support decision-making. They also develop capabilities in performing financial calculations, preparing business documents, designing and using spreadsheets for budgeting, managing payroll and employee entitlements, calculating GST, preparing business activity statements (BAS), and applying relevant legal and regulatory requirements.

Learning is supported through structured activities and authentic assessments conducted in a simulated business environment that reflects real-world workplace scenarios.

Upon successful completion, students meet the educational requirements for registration as a BAS agent in Australia, as prescribed by the Tax Practitioners Board (TPB).
