Bachelor of Arts (Honours) - Film and High-End Television Production

The BA (Hons) Film and High-End Television Production is taught by tutors who are currently successful professionals in the film and television industry, with experience across feature films, TV dramas, promotional productions, and sports broadcasting. Students work with industry-standard digital cameras similar to those used in major Hollywood productions and also have the option to use traditional 35mm celluloid film, an opportunity offered by only a small number of UK film degrees.

The programme has a strong record of student achievement, including wins at prestigious industry competitions such as the Royal Television Society Awards and the NAHEMI Kodak Student Commercial Awards. Students benefit from numerous opportunities to gain practical experience on real film and television sets, as well as access to a career-enhancing six-month placement with Malta Production Hub.

Course content has been revised to address the growing importance of streaming platforms alongside traditional cinema, while also providing opportunities to experiment with wider forms of media production including apps, web video, podcasts, and other digital content, ensuring graduates are well prepared for the multiplatform demands of today’s media landscape.
