Overview
The English Language Preparation program is a chance to improve your English language skills before beginning your pathway program. This program will you develop the required language skills to be successful in your intended pathway and degree program. 1-Semester Pathway and 2-Semester Pathway pre-sessional English are available. 1-Semester Pathway Pre-sessional English requires Academic IELTS for UKVI 5.0 overall (5.0 in all subskills) and 2-Semester Pathway Pre-sessional English requires Academic IELTS for UKVI 4.5 Overall (minimum 4.5 in all sub-skills).
This program consists of a pathway program offered by StudyGroup at the International Study Centre at the University of Sussex followed by entry into a university program offered at the University of Sussex. In the Pre-Master's programme, you will study courses related to your intended field of study alongside English to develop and enhance your skills as a student. Advancement into your intended program depends upon the successful completion of the pathway program.
The Pre-Masters in Business, Media and Social Sciences, provides a route to a variety of postgraduate degrees at the University of Sussex. English language and career skills are combined with subject-specific modules such as social sciences, cultural studies, a variety of business skills like accounting and business management to provide you with a strong foundation for your chosen business, media and social sciences degree.
In the Master of Arts in Digital Media, combine theoretical and practical approaches to digital media. Taught by some of the most influential researchers in the field today, you’ll develop the skills, knowledge and expertise to produce excellent research-led work.
This course looks at digital media within the contexts of media and cultural studies. We draw from across the disciplines of sociology, politics, philosophy, art and design, and informatics.
You’ll gain experience of designing and developing digital media products. You’ll also learn about: • the history of digital media
• the key concepts shaping current thinking about digital media • the intellectual debates in digital culture, digital humanities and computational media.
