Bachelor of Science - Computer Science

As a computer science major with strong mathematical skills and an interest in computer programming or networking security, students will gain a foundation in programming languages, problem-solving techniques and computer ethics as students learn to analyze a problem, then identify and define the computing requirements for its solution.

Students will gain with a Bachelor of Science in computer science: • Analytical skills to enable students understand complex problems in computer science • Creativity and problem-solving skills to solve complex problems in a systematic and logical manner • Critical-thinking skills to work on projects utilizing a variety of methods with the ability to quickly assess solutions • Resilience in the coding and troubleshooting process as different elements are applied until the best solution is found.
