What you will study

This course provides a solid grounding in theory and practice, and an excellent foundation to becoming a qualified accountant. It also provides an opportunity to secure exemptions from all of the major professional accountancy bodies, including the ICAEW, CIMA and ACCA. • Practice with linking theories of accounting to a broad economic, legal and social environment • Learn the basic principles of auditing, investment, finance, taxation and their implications on individuals and organisations • Explore alternative recognition rules and valuation bases • Record, prepare and present financial information using qualitative and quantitative techniques • Understand UNESCO’s Education for Sustainable Development theme of ‘Accountability and Ethics
