If students hold a bachelor’s degree or equivalent, but don’t meet the entry requirements for a master’s, a Pre-Master’s can help them gain a place on a postgraduate degree. For progression to the 1st year of a postgraduate degree at the University of Essex. Course length is determined mainly by students' English language level (UKVI IELTS score).

Students on all course lengths take a set of common or similar modules to gain a solid base of skills for university. If their course is longer than 2 terms, students will take additional modules designed to improve one or more of their English language level, academic skills, and basic knowledge of particular subjects.

Master of Science - Management

Be business ready in one year with MSc Management from Essex Business School. MSc Management is perfect for students who do not have a first degree in business, or relevant work experience in management. The MSc Management courses from Essex Business School will allow students to develop core management skills and enable them to align their Masters with their career aspirations.

As one of Essex Business School’s unique Master of management pathways, students will study a core spine of management and organisational issues throughout term one and two. In addition to this core management spine, students may choose to specialise in one of the following pathways: International, Marketing or Advertising and Corporate Communications. Each MSc Management pathway focuses on core management principles and challenges in the first term and, depending on the specialism, students can choose optional modules so that they graduate with a perfectly tailored Master’s degree in management.

For students who wish to develop their practical management skills in business strategy, people management and organisational planning the MSc Management is the right choice.
