What you will study

The school delivers a modern, practice-based curriculum, in a Business School that has a strong focus on sustainability. On the school's BSc Finance and Accounting degree, students will learn through different phases:

• Discover (knowledge acquisition): several in-person and video ‘bite-sized’ 10 – 20-minute lectures with opportunities for questions and reflection • Explore (investigative inquiry): curated, differentiated exercises, guided reading to help prepare students for live seminars • Share and apply (practical application and knowledge): online and in person interactive seminars to deepen the understanding of concepts

Students will also take a Business Readiness module each year, designed in line with the CMI’s employability framework to help develop key skills. In high-spec facilities, like the Bloomberg Trading Room, students will learn through a range of learning and teaching strategies, including: • Self-paced learning activities • Seminars • Small group discussions with peers and tutors • Assignments • Students will also complete a dissertation on a topic of choice at the end of the course.

As the courses are taught over no more than three days per week, Students will have the flexibility to take on paid part-time work, placements, or internships – gaining real-world experience before they graduate.
