Master of Arts - Audio Production

The Audio Production MA at Middlesex University explores audio as both a creative and technical discipline, integrating studio recording, post-production, and sound design with critical analysis of the evolving role of audio in media and performance. The program provides practical experience in professional recording, mixing, and spatial audio studios in London’s dynamic creative environment. Students learn advanced techniques in studio production, sound design, and immersive audio for music, film, and live events, while accessing industry-standard facilities and AI-enhanced tools. Professional connections are fostered through placements, industry briefs, and guest lectures from practicing audio producers.

The course is delivered within MDX Studios’ state-of-the-art facilities, including studios for film, radio, digital media, VFX, animation, and virtual production, as well as recording studios, post-production and editing suites, color grading, and Pro Tools.
