The Master of Professional Studies in Digital Media Connect program is designed for students who do not have prior experience in essential technical or creative concepts. The Master of Professional Studies in Digital Media—Connect offers students a hands-on, collaborative environment for exploring creative and innovative concepts in digital media. Participants develop their skills and expertise by engaging with a variety of industry-standard and emerging technologies through master’s-level coursework. The program’s core classes establish a foundation for developing, marketing, and managing content-rich experiences. For the final project, each student works either individually or as part of a team under the guidance of a faculty advisor to produce a project that demonstrates their abilities. Students complete the program while building connections with peers from around the world. Team-based assignments enhance project management and leadership skills, providing opportunities to contribute to the development of complex media projects. The program enables individuals to transition into the digital media field without the need for a second bachelor’s degree, though prospective students should be aware that 10 semester hours of foundational coursework must be completed during the first semester. These four foundation courses—covering visual communications, programming fundamentals, and web creation—help students bridge their existing backgrounds with a new direction in digital media. Participants also complete an in-depth capstone project guided by a faculty advisor, providing hands-on, practical experience. Additionally, the cohort-based structure fosters strong collaboration and networking opportunities among students.
