The BSc (Hons) Clinical Science at the University of West London provides students with a comprehensive grounding in clinical and medical sciences.

Clinical scientists are healthcare professionals who research and develop techniques and equipment to help prevent, diagnose and treat illness.

The course aims to develop students’ understanding and ability to analyse the basis of human disease, diagnosis and treatment.

Key areas of study include microbiology, genetics, haematology, immunology, anatomy, physiology, pathology and biochemistry.

Students will also develop practical skills required for diagnosing disease, including communicating with other health professionals, analysing test results to identify patterns and anomalies, and strengthening numeracy skills.
