Practitioners of this discipline have the capacity to work on significant global issues, such as the effects of climate change or improving city infrastructure.
Engineering allows students to combine creativity with precision every day. This qualification can give students broad and diverse career options, including molecular, transport, power, optical, vehicle and web engineering to name a few. Engineers are always in demand and with the right skills and qualifications, this industry can lead to frequent travel, passion projects and a very fulfilling career. Alongside possible international opportunities*, students get the chance to conduct critical research with experienced staff, learn from skilled guest visitors (subject to availability) and take part in an invaluable placement year*.
*Please note that placement or study abroad opportunities are not guaranteed to students and that any such opportunities referred to on this webpage may be subject to additional costs (e.g. travel, visas and accommodation etc.), competitive application, availability and/or meeting any applicable visa requirements.
