Students will focus on building designs and detailing, estimating and construction materials, and become a vital architectural team member.
Program Highlights: • Learn the essentials of the building and construction field in two academic years. • Understand how to apply green building fundamentals and sustainability concepts.
Learning outcomes: • Residential and light commercial design and construction techniques. • Acquire CAD, plan reading and 3D visualization skills needed to create drawings for today’s modern structures. • Explore building and construction materials and finishes. • Develop construction surveying skills, estimating, building code applications and regulations. • Understand how buildings work by learning the science of their materials and services. • Experience hands-on education consisting of labs and practical projects over four semesters.
