Program Description This two year course is taught by specialist lecturers making use of well equipped laboratories and teaching rooms. In the second year of study, learners have the option to follow either the Analytical and Forensic Science or Biomedical Science pathway, dependent upon their chosen progression route. Areas of study include: • Principles and applications of science*
• Practical scientific procedures and techniques • Science investigation skills* • Laboratory techniques and their application • Investigative project • Contemporary issues in science*.
*Externally assessed Optional units include: • Physiology of human body systems • Forensic evidence collection and analysis • Forensic traffic collision investigation • Biological molecules and metabolic pathways.
