University of Guelph

What you will study

As an economist, students will possess an in-depth knowledge of economics to help them understand the implications of business and economic trends and the economic issues of the modern period, from local to global levels.

The skills students acquire throughout the program will empower them with the tools to tackle various interests, from learning how to invest intelligently, to changes in tax systems or health insurance, even to current market trends in the location of their own home.

The Economics Co-op program provides an integrated academic/work experience for students with co-operating employer organizations. Students in the program complete 4-5 work terms while fulfilling the requirements of their honours Economics program.
