What you will study

In the Bachelor of Arts (Honours) Psychology and Sociology course students will engage with psychological theory and research, exploring how this knowledge is applied to real-world personal and social issues. The course enables them to explore the personal and social nature of human experience from different perspectives.

Students will benefit from learning with research-active lecturers and hearing from inspiring guest speakers, with an opportunity to take an optional placement in a community organisation. The Psychology Research Laboratories are resourced to support a diverse range of experimental and qualitative research.

This Psychology and Sociology course is accredited by the British Psychological Society (BPS). Graduates who achieve the required standard are eligible for Graduate Basis for Chartered Membership (GBC) of the BPS. This is the first step in becoming a Chartered Psychologist.
