Overview

This program consists of a pathway program offered by StudyGroup at the International Study Centre at the University of Sussex followed by entry into a university program offered at the University of Sussex. In the Pre-Master's programme, you will study courses related to your intended field of study alongside English to develop and enhance your skills as a student. Advancement into your intended program depends upon the successful completion of the pathway program.

The Pre-Masters in Business, Media and Social Sciences, provides a route to a variety of postgraduate degrees at the University of Sussex. English language and career skills are combined with subject-specific modules such as social sciences, cultural studies, a variety of business skills like accounting and business management to provide you with a strong foundation for your chosen business, media and social sciences degree.

Gain a strong understanding of modern banking and finance theory and practice, with particular insight into the performance, risk management and regulation of banks in the Master of Science in Banking and Finance. You're taught by academics and practitioners who are at the forefront of this rapidly changing sector.

We offer you training in banking, management and accounting as well as an in-depth appreciation of the finance industry. You’ll develop your critical thinking and decision-making techniques, enabling you to appraise: • investment strategies

• bank operations • risk management models • the latest developments in financial markets.

This course opens up a range of career opportunities including roles with banks, funds, regulators, consultancies and finance divisions of corporations or NGOs. We also offer internship opportunities, and guest speakers from the banking and finance industry.
