Pharmacy Technicians work very closely with pharmacists to achieve optimal drug therapy outcomes for patients.
A pharmacy technician's role requires them to focus on the technical aspect of the prescription, perform med reconciliation by collecting the best possible medication history from patients, perform product preparation and distribution functions as well as inventory control.
When students complete their Pharmacy Technician diploma program, students will be ready to take a position in a variety of companies or institutions, such as:
• retail pharmacies • long-term care facilities • hospital pharmacies • specialized pharmacies • third-party insurance companies • computer software development companies • government
