The BSc (Hons) Cyber Security provides a comprehensive pathway for students seeking to become skilled security specialists. The programme benefits from an academic partnership with the Chartered Institute of Information Security (CIISec) and provides access to industry-standard laboratories equipped with advanced software development tools such as Microsoft Azure, Matlab, Encase, Wireshark, Nmap and Kali Linux. An optional industrial placement year offers practical experience, broadens professional networks, and enhances employability prospects. The course also allows flexibility to transfer to other programmes within the Computing portfolio after the first year, and all assessment is conducted through coursework rather than written exams.
