Overview
The MSc International Tourism and Hospitality Management programme is designed to equip students with the knowledge, skills and industry awareness required for a successful career in the global tourism and hospitality sector. It introduces key management principles and concepts, providing a strong foundation for understanding how the industry operates in a rapidly evolving environment.
The programme enables students to explore the structure and dynamics of tourism and hospitality sectors, while emphasising the importance of responsible development and its wider impact on society. It also develops a critical understanding of current trends and challenges at local, national and international levels, preparing students to formulate effective strategies that address emerging opportunities and issues within the industry.
Learning is supported through case studies and practical projects, allowing students to apply theoretical concepts to real-world situations. Core areas of study include tourism development, business performance and metrics, consumer behaviour and visitor experience, leadership and people management, sustainability, marketing and strategic management, data collection and analysis, and operational value.
In addition, the programme provides opportunities to engage with real business challenges, helping students build practical and transferable skills that are highly valued by employers. This applied approach ensures graduates are well prepared to meet the demands of the tourism and hospitality industry.
